Responsibilities

Ensure rigorous risk management for information and technology security
threats as well as monitor emerging threats and sound practices

Maintain a holistic view of information and technology security threats
including the links and relationships between individuals, business
processes and systems

Play an advisory role at Desjardins Group, its business sectors and
caisse network in terms of technological and information security
threats
Experience
Pierre-Alexandre Braeken has worked in technology and security for more than
20 years. Since joining Desjardins Group in 2018, he's held a number of
positions in risk management. Since January 2022, he's held the position of
Vice-President and Chief Technology and Cyber Risk Officer at Desjardins
Group.
Before joining Desjardins, he worked for major organizations in Europe and
Canada, including Deloitte, where he managed Red Team for clients in Canada,
the US and Europe. He's been able to help numerous organizations with security
incidents in North America.
Recognized as an expert in cybersecurity, Pierre-Alexandre has had the
privilege to present his research at major security conferences around the
world including the prestigious Black Hat Briefings in Las Vegas.
He holds a European bachelor's degree in management information systems as
well as an MCSE certification.
Pierre-Alexandre stands out for his people-oriented leadership and his
commitment to promoting the talent of his diverse teams.
