Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the business sector to implement Desjardins Group's information security strategy
- Continuously maintains and reports on the information security posture of the business sector
- Recommends priority initiatives based on risk
Experience
Simon-Gabriel has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, including 10 years working in IT and information security roles.
Before joining Desjardins Group in 2010, he worked as a financial security advisor for an independent firm and as an investigator for the Regulatory Division of the Montréal Exchange. His career at Desjardins has included positions in governance, business intelligence and performance strategy.
Since 2022, Simon-Gabriel has been a security officer in the President's Office and Monitoring Office of Desjardins Group, as well as for Wealth Management Advisory Services (Desjardins Securities Inc.).
He also holds a bachelor of business administration. He's a proactive and agile leader who is able to clearly communicate priorities and align teams toward a common goal.
